the bonnie banks o' loch lomond

The best way to spend your last night in Scotland ?
Watching the sun set on Loch Lomond, of course.
I know.

By yon bonnie banks an' by yon bonnie braes...

Where the sun shines bright on Loch Lomond.

Where me an' my true love will ne-er meet again.

On the bonnie, bonnie banks o’ Loch Lomond.

Oh ye’ll take the high road, an' I'll take the low.

An' I’ll be in Scotland afore ye.

For me an' my true love will ne-er meet again.

On the bonnie, bonnie banks o’ Loch Lomond.

‘Twas there that we parted in yon shady glen.

On the steep, steep sides o’ Ben Lomond.

Where in soft purple hue, the hielan hills we view.

An' the moon comin’ out in the gloamin’.

The wee birdies sing an' the wild flowers spring.

An' in sunshine the waters are sleeping.

But the broken heart, it kens nae second spring again.

Tho’ the waeful may cease frae their greetin'.
