And some views of Merchant City,
The edgy district where City Centre meets East End.
I Heart Glasgow.
And Merchant City, the oldest bit.
The amazing Tolbooth Steeple, built 1627.
It's five storeys high.
{That's six in American.}
Virginia Street.
And Virginia Place.
{I have a fondness for Virginia because it is my birthplace.}
Jigsaw in the old bank.
Merchant Square.
And what's that amazing orange tower ?
The Tron Steeple.
Built 1636, and part of a church that was later destroyed by fire.
I'm glad the steeple survived.
Did you know Glasgow has its very own Mannekin Pis ?
Gritty Ggow.
My city of crumbling Victorian buildings.
St. Enoch.
Merchant City News.
I don't watch Doctor Who,
but I hear this is significant to those who do.
Hutchesons Hall, Ingram Street.
Merchants of soul, so unkind.
Merchants of soul, they don't mind.
They'll take your soul, I need mine.
xx

Great pictures Liz! Enjoying your blog! Still need to go back into the archives but I enjoyed your posts and pictures on the main page very much. Didn't know there was a limit on pictures with Blogger. That sucks. Hope your funding has come through and it's beer and not beans tonight. Thank you for sharing. I'll be back to read more!
