"I have always held and am prepared against all evidence to maintain that the cathedral of Lincoln is out and out the most precious piece of architecture in the British Isles and roughly speaking worth any two other cathedrals we have." ~ John Ruskin

A lovely day in Lincoln, courtesy the Centre for Medieval Studies.

Lincoln Cathedral against the bluest of skies.

Starting at the ruined Bishop's Palace.

And we stand up in the palace...

Like it's the last of the great pioneer town bars.

Blue morning, blue morning, wrapped in strands of fist and bone.

And though I'll never forget your face...

Sometimes I can't remember my name.

Cathedral from palace walls.

A walk in the park under sapphire skies.

Our secrets safe, an unbroken citadel.

Sad as blue and blue as only.

You could cast the colour on me.

Clear blue skies swallowing you whole.

Pictures say with sight what we can't say with words.

Really difficult to get a good picture of the whole façade, and it
was under scaffolding, so y'all should just Wiki that shi'.

Inside and NO CHAIRS ! And NO ONE !
This is how cathedrals should be viewed.

Isn't life grand ?

And all you'll hear is music.

And beauty stands before you.

And love comes back around again.

It's a carousel, my friend.

Cathedrals in my heart.

Katherine Swynford's tomb ! Geek out.

Stare a sleepy smile into a sunbeam.

Is this nothing more than a daydream ?

Coloured stained glass cathedral.

Confines a past that won't let you go.

Tomb of Eleanor of Castile's viscera. Don't know what viscera are ?
Look it up, you'll be sufficiently grossed out.

My morbidity, comme d'hab.

The Dean's Eye window; medieval glass.

The Bishop's Eye.

Cloisters.

Cloister secrets.

Chapter House.

Words on the ceiling.

You know it all by heart why are you standing in one place ?

Born to blossom, bloom to perish.

Cathedral cat.

Leaving the precincts to wander around town.

Just when the days start getting colder.

I walk the streets I never knew.

The sun comes out for you.

Lots of old bookshops in Lincoln, love.

I walk the streets with a song in my head.

And if you could see.

What's come over me.

Then you would know.

'Cause I'm walking free.

White Hart.

Telephone.

A Lincoln Dusk.
