force of nature

An ode to the Yorkshire Dales from a Saturday trip.

Grass so green.

And skies so blue.

Black Swan, Leyburn.

The Sandpiper Inn, Leyburn.

Visiting the Wensleydale Creamery, Hawes.

Watching 'em make cheese.

DENT BEER!
(There is actually a village named Dent in the Dales).

Walled grazing plots for sheep dating to 18th century.

This way to Kettlewell.

Scary chickens.

Fresh Eggs.

Town of Hawes, North Yorkshire.

Man walking Westie on the side, for momma.

Gayle Mill.

Hang Me Out To Dry.

The iconic Ribbenhale Viaduct.

It's actually a railway bridge built in the 19th century.

Beauty of the Dales.

There are also many, many, many sheep in the Dales.

Tagged.

I see you looking at me.

Just walkin' down a road in the Dales, NBD.

Le groupe.

Old Car.

Sunshine.

No Right Of Way.

So pretty.

In the village of Malham.

No Fishing.

Reflections.

Along the river.

No Public Access.

Precious.

Red set in stone.

Ice cream place.

Muddy Boots.

Terrifying birds and their nests.

Pretty archway.

Glass milk bottles and green wellies.
Simple kind of life.

Bolton Abbey ruins and cemetery.

And more.

Eerie Abbey.

Looking towards the former east window.

Same.

Outside.

Jet plane sky and abbey.

Part of the abbey is roofed and remains a church.

Heraldry.
The whole Bolton Abbey Estate belonged to the Dukes of Devonshire
(aka Georgiana Cavendish The Duchess's family).

Et plus.

Elizabeth.

Lovely day in the Dales.
Next time I go, I will visit Dentdale.
xx
