new frontier

A few pictures from a crazy day in Glasgow, which involved eight hours on a train, city centre, west end, south side, the museum, and a housing search.

The bridges of Newcastle-upon-Tyne from le train.

Buchanan Street, Glasgow city centre.

Glasgow City Hall.

City streets.

I got a line on a new frontier.

Princes Square shopping.
Peacock logo for Sophie.

AND peacock on top of the building!

Argyll (shopping) Arcade.

Inside. Reminds me of Brussels.

Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend.

Cool necklaces.

Apparently Glasgow is a fashionable city.
I cannot complain about that.

I LOVE these shoes.

Over to the West End.

Botanic Gardens.

It was a nice day.

Ubiquitous Chip.

Ashton Lane, the prettiest street in Ggow.

The University of Glasgow is straight up Hogwarts.

Puts our little King's Manor to shame.

Inside.

Sunshine in Scotland.

Here we are now going to the South Side.

The Burrell Collection.

Entrance.

Stained glass on display.

Et plus.

Princess Cecily NBFD.

Some stained glass I liked in the lightboxes.

Love the lambs.

This is actually a rebus (word puzzle)
for John Islip, abbot of Westminster Abbey
in Tudor times. From Westminster.

Nice quarries representing Henry VII and
Elizabeth of York, as well as the white rose
of the House of York. Sign?

More quarries representing Richard III
and the white hart of Richard II (forgot the
others, will write more about them later).

I love this one.

And this too.

The Swan!

One section of lightbox.

Sunny day in the museum.

Gift shop. A Chinese art exhibition's on right now.

Back to the city centre and pink.

Love pink.
xx
