the singing, springing lark (das singende springende löweneckerchen)

On to Augsburg, another Bavarian city.
A bit seedier than Regensberg, but with its own charm.

Augsburg streetz.

Interesting architecture.

Friends admiring Augsburg.

Augsburg Cathedral/Dom.

Founded in the 11th century, with Gothic additions in the 14th.

Let's go in.

The oldest stained glass in situ in the world !

Late 11th-early 12th century.

The five windows depict prophets... see Jonas here.

A wall painting of St. Christopher.

Sunshine streaming in from the west.

Red doors.

Love the faux bricks painted over the white-washed walls.

A quick walk around the eerie cloisters.

Covered in tomb plaques.

Tell me now, can you feel it ?

{I've been keeping company with ghosts.}

You wanna know how deeply my soul goes ?

{Deeper than bones.}

Skullz.

East End.

Red doors.

Augsburg Cathedral enjoys putting religious sculptures in niches.

Often behind gates.

An over-the-top altar.

Organ.

Back outside; southern portal.

One last look at the Dom.

Pink buildings <3.

Armed with the spray can soul.
