wise folks (die klugen leute)

Twenty-four hours in Erfurt.
Cathedral/Dom, University, and dranks with the Erfurt students.

Erfurt is the capital city of Thuringia, in the former East Germany.

Beautiful blue skies and historic buildings.

So colourful.

Ignore my awkward Napoleon Bonaparte pose in this.

Coca Light.

Elizabeth: The Musical.

Sunshine over the Dom.

Erfurt Dom looks more like a fortress than a cathedral.

Moi devant Dom.

Heading toward the stairs.

Cathedrals in my heart.

Foolish.

Erfurt in the shadow of the Dom.

You know, just discussing architecture with the experts.

Going inside.

Looking into the choir.

Baroque !

Sunlight streaming into the cathedral.

Plenty of polychromy.

A side altar.

This wooden chest holds a surprise inside.

Dead Christ, lovely.

Leaving the Dom.

"The Three Wise Men" in the cathedral glazing studio.

A Baroque baby undergoing conservation at the University of Erfurt.

A lovely altarpiece also in the university studios.

Love it.

Our new friends sitting on the cathedral steps.

Sunset from the Dom.

Dom at night.

Out for an evening with the Erfurt conservation students.

The bar they took us to.

Erfurt night.

For Vati.

And a street for me too.

Elizabeth on Elisabethstraße !

Ciao, Erfurt.
xx
